Lethal Weapon is set to be released on 4K Ultra HD in June.

      Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has revealed that Richard Donner's classic buddy cop film Lethal Weapon, featuring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, will be released on 4K Ultra HD this June. The release will include both the original 1987 theatrical version and the extended director's cut from 2000; you can find the cover artwork and more details here.

      In the film, Mel Gibson plays a lone cop from Los Angeles who, after the death of his wife, exhibits increasingly erratic behavior. Danny Glover portrays a meticulous homicide detective with a flawless record and a caring family. The two are paired together as they investigate a suicide that unravels into an international crime syndicate, thrusting them into escalating peril in this hit action thriller.

      Directed by Richard Donner (Superman), the movie features Mel Gibson (Braveheart) as Detective Martin Riggs and Danny Glover (Predator) as Detective Roger Murtaugh, with Gary Busey (Point Break) also starring. The screenplay was penned by Shane Black, and the film was produced by Donner and Joel Silver along with Silver Pictures.
