Mamorukun ReCurse! draws inspiration from traditional Japanese mythology, placing players in the role of Mamoru, a young warrior who finds himself in the Netherworld following an untimely demise. Alongside a group of new companions, Mamoru must seal the gate to The World of Darkness to save the Netherworld from being engulfed by evil.
In this vertical-scrolling shoot ’em up action, players will utilize Curse Bullets to defeat enemies, engaging in intense risk-reward gameplay that dynamically shifts the difficulty as they progress.
Players can explore various modes, such as Story Mode, Arcade Mode, and Challenge Courses. The game will also feature a range of alternative costumes, all previously-released DLC characters, and a new Gallery Mode.
Key features of Mamorukun ReCurse! include:
- A classic arcade game reimagined for modern platforms.
- Various game modes and challenges.
- Multiple playable characters and alternate outfits for Mamoru.
- Original music composed by Yosuke Yasui, along with arranged tracks from earlier releases.
Mamorukun ReCurse! is scheduled to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
