Parasol Superstars is set to release retro classics for consoles this September.
ININ Games will evoke nostalgia and cuteness this September with the digital release of Parasol Superstars on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, along with a physical release for Nintendo Switch and PS5. Parasol Superstars will include the highly acclaimed Parasol Stars and the retro-themed platformer Spica Adventure, which is making its debut for western gamers and will also have its own digital launch on September 30th.
In the 1980s, TAITO introduced Bubble Bobble in arcades, followed by Rainbow Islands a few years later, continuing the journey of Bub and Bob. Eventually, they launched Parasol Stars, which once again enchanted players worldwide with its vibrant, charming, and quirky gameplay featuring the two beloved characters equipped with magical parasols.
This bundle includes a meticulously restored version of Parasol Stars, enhanced with modern updates and quality-of-life improvements, while still retaining the 2-player co-op mode.
Alongside it, the fast-paced platformer Spica Adventure, previously unavailable outside Japan, will allow western gamers for the first time to join Nico, a brave girl on her journey through the stars.
Parasol Superstars will be available digitally and physically on September 16th. A Special Edition will also be offered, featuring bonus content such as a History Artbook and a Soundtrack for both games.
