The roguelite survival horror game Toxicant is getting a significant update.

      Indie developer Cosmocat Games is set to launch a significant free update for their roguelite survival horror game, Toxicant, on May 26th. The Rampage! Update will introduce an entirely new game mode for players to hone their skills, along with a new weapon to assist in challenging situations.       With this update, players will have access to a new shotgun. This weapon can be discovered within the main game and will be extremely helpful. However, shotgun ammo will be quite limited, requiring players to continue engaging with the game mechanics as intended; nevertheless, it will certainly aid in desperate situations.

      Additionally, players can take on the thrilling new Rampage! mode. To unlock this mode, they must first locate the shotgun in the main game, but once found, it will offer a true challenge. This new mode features modified level generation logic to create a more action-driven experience, akin to a classic zombie shooter. Players will spawn with a fully loaded shotgun, encounter more ammo spawns (though still somewhat limited), face more enemies, and navigate fewer tunnels.
