A new previously unreleased Doctor Who story featuring the Seventh Doctor will be released by Big Finish this September.
Big Finish has revealed the upcoming Doctor Who – The Lost Stories: Alixion audio drama set for release this September. This new audio box set in The Lost Stories collection offers a fresh adventure featuring the Seventh Doctor, once again portrayed by the fantastic Sylvester McCoy.
The Lost Stories range comprises audio dramas based on previously unproduced narratives submitted to the television team, with Robin Mukherjee, the original writer of Alixion, returning to adapt his story into audio format.
In Alixion, the Seventh Doctor and Ace (played by Sophie Aldred) arrive at a luxurious health spa seeking some rest and relaxation; however, the Doctor's plans for a break are always interrupted. Soon, the Doctor and Ace find their dreams manipulated by a sinister being that thirsts for power.
This malevolent entity, lurking within the spa's walls, preys on their memories and regrets, and as it drains the Doctor's life force, it compels them to face their deepest fears.
Joining Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred are Shri Patel as Colin, a 'Time Gribble,' Beverly Longhurst as spa hostess Mathilda, along with Jon Edgley Bond, Ali Bastian, David O’Mahony, and Mathew McQuinn.
Doctor Who – The Lost Stories: Alixion is currently available for pre-order at a price of £13.99 for the download version or £16.99 for the limited Collector’s Edition 2-disc CD box set.
