
Jeanne Balibar Establishes an Unexpected Bond in Exclusive Trailer for Cannes Selection Let Me Go
Legendary French actress Jeanne Balibar collaborated with Maxime Rappaz on his directorial debut, Let Me Go, a drama centered on self-discovery set in the Swiss Alps. The film premiered at Cannes ACID in 2023 and is set to be released this month by Film Movement. In advance of its digital release on June 27, we are excited to present an exclusive look at the new trailer, filmed by Benoît Dervaux, a longtime collaborator of the Dardenne brothers.
Here's the synopsis: “In the Swiss Alps, seamstress Claudine (Jeanne Balibar) has a daring arrangement at the local hotel. For a tip, the concierge gives her information about the available bachelors on short stays, whom she seeks out for brief sexual encounters. After several chance meetings with a charming German photographer, an unexpected bond develops in director Maxime Rappaz’s praised feature film debut.”
