Following its world premiere at SXSW London, a trailer and poster for the sci-fi survival thriller The Occupant have been released online.
Directed by Hugo Keijzer, the film features Ella Balinska as an engineering geologist who survives a plane crash and urgently seeks a way out of the unforgiving Georgian wilderness, seemingly assisted by a mysterious stranger (Rob Delaney) over her radio. Watch the trailer below...
Determined to challenge her sister’s terminal diagnosis, geologist Abby (Ella Balinska) accepts a position in the remote Georgian taiga to finance a new experimental treatment that could potentially save her cherished sibling. After a crash leaves her stranded in the wilderness, Abby must confront the brutal elements to return to her sister, guided by the calming voice of John (Rob Delaney, a welcome presence), an American pilot whose own plane also met with disaster. Leading her through the harsh surroundings, John appears to be a source of hope—until that perception shifts.
The Occupant is set to be released soon.
