The dystopian sci-fi thriller Woken has released a trailer and a poster.
Dark Sky Films has released a trailer for Woken, a dystopian sci-fi thriller directed by Alan Friel. Erin Kellyman (Solo: A Star Wars Story) plays a young woman who finds herself on a mysterious small island, pregnant and without any memory of her identity or how she arrived there. As a seemingly caring couple helps her recover, she faces the horrifying realization that humanity is nearing extinction.
The cast includes Maxine Peake, Ivanno Jeremiah, Corrado Invernizzi, Peter McDonald, and Oscar Coleman. Watch the trailer below…
Set in a post-apocalyptic environment, the island serves as a refuge from a pandemic that has ravaged the Earth. Anna awakens pregnant and is unable to recall her husband. She also fails to recognize Helen and Peter, who claim to be assisting her recovery. Her disbelief in their reassurances leads to a dreadful revelation, forcing Anna to confront the existential dilemmas resulting from humanity's devastation of the planet.
Woken will be available in select theaters and on digital platforms starting July 18th.
