A week before the theatrical premiere of Superman, Hot Toys has officially introduced its new sixth scale action figure collectible set featuring Superman and Krypto, inspired by David Corenswet’s portrayal of the Man of Steel and his canine sidekick in James Gunn’s upcoming DC reboot. The set is currently available for pre-order at a price of $285; you can view it here…
Hot Toys proudly presents the 1/6th scale Superman™ & Krypto™ Collectible Set, showcasing the deep connection between the hero and his dog. The Superman figure includes a newly designed head sculpt with functional rolling eyeballs and intricately detailed hair, accurately reflecting David Corenswet’s likeness. It is built on an innovatively designed muscular body that enhances articulation, allowing for improved movement in the arms and legs, which is ideal for recreating flight poses and dynamic action.
Superman’s iconic suit is stunningly recreated in a bright blue color with embossed textures, featuring a slightly aged red-and-yellow emblem on the chest and a flowing red cape that has an embossed Superman symbol and a bendable wire inside. Additional costume features comprise a yellow belt, red trunks, and red soft vinyl boots. The figure also includes ten interchangeable hands, such as fists, relaxed hands, claw gesture hands, flying gesture hands, and hands for holding the cape, providing numerous display options. The diorama figure base, inspired by the Fortress of Solitude, is crafted from translucent blue soft vinyl material and comes with two interchangeable stands: a magnetic stand resembling a crystal pillar and a waist clip stand.
Accompanying the hero is Krypto, sculpted with realistic fur texture and donning his own red cape with a bendable wire for posing. A transparent stand enables Krypto to hover alongside Superman during flight, highlighting their bond.
“Superman tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his upbringing as Clark Kent in Smallville, Kansas. He embodies truth, justice, and the American way, guided by human compassion in a world that often views kindness as outdated.”
Written and directed by James Gunn, Superman features David Corenswet as Ka’lel/Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern/Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, María Gabriela De Faría as The Engineer, Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Terence Rosemore as Otis, and Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell as Jonathan and Martha Kent.
Superman is scheduled to be released on July 11, 2025.
