Apple TV+ has renewed Slow Horses for a seventh season.
Ahead of its fifth season debut in September, Apple TV+ has already approved a seventh season of the spy series Slow Horses. The show was renewed for a sixth season last year, but the network has now reinforced its commitment to the series' future.
Slow Horses stars Gary Oldman, with a cast that includes Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Jonathan Pryce. The series is adapted from the novels by Mick Herron and was created by William James Smith.
The upcoming seventh season will draw from Herron's Bad Actors, where Oldman's Jackson Lamb and his team of Slow Horses are on a mission to identify and eliminate a mole within the British government before they can jeopardize the state.
“Slow Horses has garnered fans around the globe with its distinctive blend of self-deprecating British humor and thrilling action,” said Jay Hunt, creative director for Apple TV+ in Europe. “I’m thrilled that viewers will enjoy another season featuring Gary's outstanding portrayal of Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses’ somewhat clumsy espionage efforts.”
The fifth season of Slow Horses, which will launch on September 24th, sees everyone on edge when resident tech whiz Roddy Ho starts dating a glamorous new girlfriend. A string of increasingly strange incidents takes place across the city, leading the Slow Horses to investigate how everything is interconnected. After all, Lamb understands that in the realm of espionage, the London Rules – always watch your back – are paramount.
Slow Horses Season 5 will debut on September 24th on Apple TV+.
