After its debut in the Midnight section of the Cannes Film Festival last May, Umbrella Entertainment has released a trailer for Exit 8, a psychological horror film inspired by the 2023 video game The Exit 8.
Directed by Genki Kawamura, the movie centers on a man (Yamato Kôchi) who becomes lost in an underground tunnel as he tries to determine whether his bizarre experiences are real or merely an illusion. Watch the trailer below…
A man gets disoriented in an underground passage. He follows a “guide” through it, but encounters a series of strange events. Is this realm genuine? Or simply a figment of his imagination? Will he manage to find his way out of the passage?
Exit 8 is set to be released in Japan on August 28th, 2025, with US and UK release dates anticipated shortly.
