Daredevil: Born Again season 2 has completed filming and has added another returning actor from the original Netflix series.

      The highly anticipated second season of Daredevil: Born Again has completed production, and there's more exciting news for fans of the original Netflix Daredevil series: another actor is returning to support Daredevil and his allies in their battle against Kingpin.

      Naqam Washington, the physical trainer for both Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, shared an Instagram post that seems to confirm Royce Johnson will reprise his role as Detective Brett Mahoney in the upcoming season.

      Mahoney was a character in Netflix’s Daredevil, featuring in all three seasons and appearing in other Defenders series. He started as a beat cop before being promoted to detective in the second season. Unlike many corrupt officers under Wilson Fisk, Mahoney was highly principled and frequently assisted Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page in their investigations, often without realizing Murdock’s alter-ego is Daredevil.

      Mahoney will be joining fellow returning Defenders star Krysten Ritter, who will return as private investigator Jessica Jones in the second season of Born Again. These latest returns follow the first season, which saw the return of Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, and Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, alongside Cox and D’Onofrio.

      It remains to be seen if more actors from the Netflix MCU will join the fight for New York City. However, newcomers for season 2 include Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor, though their roles are currently under wraps.

      In “Daredevil: Born Again,” Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with enhanced abilities, strives for justice through his law firm, while former mob leader Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his political ambitions in New York. As their pasts come to light, both men find themselves headed for a confrontation.

      Daredevil: Born Again season one is now streaming on Disney+ and stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Jon Bernthal.
