The Brazilian erotic thriller Motel Destino has released a trailer in anticipation of its US debut.
In anticipation of its release in the US this August, a trailer has been unveiled for director Karim Aïnouz’s erotic thriller, Motel Destino.
The film follows Heraldo, a young man fleeing from his troubles who arrives at a roadside sex motel managed by the discontented Dayana and her crude husband, Elias. After she agrees to let him stay, Dayana quickly becomes involved in a complex relationship of desire and freedom with Heraldo, as they devise a perilous plan for escape.
The cast features Iago Xavier, Fábio Assunção, and Nataly Rocha. You can watch the trailer below…
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Northern Brazil’s coastline, Motel Destino is a neon-lit sex motel operated by the blunt Elias and his beautiful yet frustrated wife, Dayana. When 21-year-old Heraldo finds himself at the motel after a failed job leaves him on the run from both the authorities and the gang he disappointed, Dayana becomes curious and permits him to stay. As they engage in a power struggle filled with desire and the quest for freedom, a perilous escape plan takes shape. In this tropical noir, conflicting loyalties and desires intertwine, revealing that fate has its own mysterious course.
Motel Destino is scheduled to be released on August 29th.
