The Doctor Who spinoff, Bernice Summerfield: The Dalek Eternity, will be debuting this September.
Big Finish has unveiled new details about an upcoming Doctor Who spinoff audio drama series, Bernice Summerfield: The Dalek Eternity, set to launch this September. Featuring Lisa Bowerman as Bernice Summers, this series depicts a new scheme from the Daleks that threatens the galaxy, with only a 27th-century archeologist capable of intervening.
Professor Bernice Summerfield, affectionately known as Benny, must safeguard the galaxy against the ruthless Daleks from Skaro in an epic storyline spread across four full-cast audio drama releases, each comprising two half-hour episodes.
The first part of The Dalek Eternity arrives this September and includes The Lonely Bomb by James Goss. In this episode, the Daleks invade the Eternity Club while Bernice escapes in a retired TARDIS. With the Daleks about to seize the largest weapons arsenal in the galaxy, can Bernice intervene? The second episode, Satrap by Felicia Barker, portrays the Eternity Club under Dalek control, with hints of a member possibly working against them.
October's release of The Dalek Eternity part 2 will feature The Winner’s Tale by Alex Hewitt, which narrates the story of a Sontaran and a Draconian striving to end a perpetual war, as well as Bernice's quest to locate the sole survivor of a Dalek invasion. It will also include Oversoul by Melissa F. Olson, where Bernice arrives on a beautiful world of crystal seas, warned that the Daleks are on their way.
The Dalek Eternity part 3, set for November release, includes Quisling by Sophia McDougall and We Don’t Talk About Mavic Chen by Tim Foley. In Quisling, Bernice aids some survivors in their rebellion against the Daleks, while We Don’t Talk About Mavic Chen recounts the tale of the galaxy's most infamous traitor.
Finally, The Dalek Eternity part 4, slated for December, finds Bernice Summerfield racing against time as the true leader of the Daleks is unveiled (Vizier by Patrick O’Connor). In Emperor by Ash Darby, the Dalek army continues to swell, civilizations falter, and the galaxy is engulfed in flames.
Alongside Lisa Bowerman, the cast includes Nicholas Briggs as the Daleks, Dan Starkey as Starrl, Niamh Cusack as the enigmatic Oldest, as well as Siena Kelly, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, and Bethany Antonia.
Listeners can purchase each two-episode release of The Eternity Club for £8.99 as a download or £10.99 for both download and collector’s edition CD. The complete series is also available for pre-order at £32 for the download or £40 for the downloading option with collector's edition CD box sets.
