Killing Floor 3 officially releases following a postponement.
In March, Tripwire Interactive disclosed a delay for the latest entry in their intense co-op action/horror series, Killing Floor 3, following feedback from a closed beta. Now, any issues that arose have been addressed, and players can now engage in the fight for humanity's survival on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A new trailer highlighting the terrifying challenges awaiting players can be viewed below.
Kudos to Tripwire Interactive for maintaining communication with the community through forums and social media, providing updates on resolving the concerns raised during the closed beta. The developers have also released a roadmap detailing all the confirmed future content updates for all platforms.
Players can anticipate the addition of more enemies, new weapons, fresh specialists, and new maps to battle through.
"Launch is just the starting point for Killing Floor 3," stated Bryan Wynia, Creative Director at Tripwire Interactive. "Players can expect new maps, perks, specialists, weapons, and enemies in the months that follow the launch."
Set 70 years after the events of Killing Floor 2, this latest chapter in the iconic horror FPS series transports players to 2091, where the mega-corporation Horzine has created an army of bio-engineered creatures known as Zeds. As a member of the rebel group called Nightfall, players must eradicate these hellish creatures to safeguard humanity's future.
Players will have access to a variety of weapons, ranging from katanas to flamethrowers, all of which can be fully customized with different mods and gadgets. Additionally, players can select various skills to suit their preferred style of combat.
Key features include:
- Team up with five friends for chaotic 6-player co-op with complete crossplay on all platforms, though solo play is still an option.
- Encounter the most lethal Zeds to date, enhanced by AI that makes them faster, deadlier, and more grotesque.
- An extensive selection of weapons, gadgets, and skills available for players to choose from.
- Numerous perilous locations to explore, featuring interactive environments that can provide an advantage in tight situations.
- The return of the M.E.A.T. System, delivering even more realistic mayhem.
Killing Floor 3 is now available on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
