A first trailer has been released online for "Giant," the upcoming biographical drama directed and written by Rowan Athale, with Sylvester Stallone as executive producer.
The film narrates the life of renowned British boxer Prince Naseem Hamed, detailing his journey from his upbringing in Sheffield to his emergence as a global sports icon, aided by his Irish boxing trainer Brendan Ingle.
The cast features Amir El-Masry as Prince Naseem Hamed and Pierce Brosnan as Brendan Ingle, along with Ali Saleh, Ghaith Saleh, Katherine Dow Blyton, Olivia Barrowclough, Elika Ashoori, Austin Haynes, Rocco Haynes, Oliver Joseph Brooke, Arian Nik, Big Jake, Kelvin Ade, and Mehdi Mangoli.
Inspired by the extraordinary true story of the legendary British-Yemeni boxing champion Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed, the film depicts his remarkable rise from humble beginnings in Sheffield to becoming a world champion and a global sports figure in the 1990s. It highlights the unexpected yet heartfelt bond between Naz and his Irish trainer Brendan Ingle, showcasing the crucial influence Ingle had on Hamed’s path to success.
