This October, two new Doctor Who audiobooks will be released by Penguin Random House.
Penguin Random House is set to release two brand-new Doctor Who audio original adventures on October 2nd, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor. These two standalone stories have been crafted by renowned authors Beth Axford and Una McCormack, and will be accessible on Audible, Spotify, and various other audiobook platforms.
The new adventures for the Fifteenth Doctor and Belinda include Doctor Who: Firefall and Doctor Who: Counterstrike.
Doctor Who: Firefall is a poignant narrative about outsiders in search of a home. Narrated by Michelle Asante, who portrays Abena in The Story and the Engine and In the Forest of the Night, Firefall opens with the Doctor and Belinda soaring above Earth, delighting in the legendary Leonids meteor shower of 1833. However, when they spot a larger meteor that shows no signs of disintegration, they trace its path to the small village of Drummondville, where they meet a young girl who is concealing something remarkable. The Doctor must uncover the truth before it affects all life on Earth.
In Doctor Who: Counterstrike, the Doctor and Belinda are overwhelmed by a swarm of drones after landing on a strange, uncharted planet. Seeking refuge in a series of high-tech structures, the Doctor is baffled by the lack of life until Belinda is abruptly teleported away. Meanwhile, three thousand light-years distant, project manager Hazzet receives system alerts from a probe dispatched to the deserted Colony 5. The probe has indicated that there are now two bases on the planet, each poised to attack the other. With a lifeform present in both, a race against mutually assured destruction begins.
