Initial glimpse at the animated series Avatar: Seven Havens.
As Avatar: The Last Airbender marks its 20th anniversary at the San Diego Comic-Con, fans got a first glimpse of the upcoming animated series in the cherished franchise, Avatar: Seven Havens.
This new series is set in a world "shattered by a devastating cataclysm." It follows a young Earthbender who learns she is the new Avatar after Korra—but in this perilous time, the title identifies her as humanity's destroyer rather than its savior. Pursued by enemies from both human and spirit realms, she and her long-lost twin must uncover their enigmatic origins and save the Seven Havens before the last bastions of civilization fall.
One image reveals the new Avatar, Pavi, journeying through a barren landscape alongside her half-lemur, half-cat companion, Geet. The voice cast has yet to be announced, but further details about the series might emerge as SDCC progresses this weekend.
Avatar: Seven Havens is the latest installment in the franchise succeeding The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Additionally, an animated feature film titled The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender is in the works, set for release on January 30, 2026, while Netflix is also developing a live-action remake of the beloved show.
Avatar: Seven Havens will be produced by Michael DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, Ethan Spaulding, and Sehaj Sethi.
