The trailer for Peacemaker season 2 introduces the new multiverse of the DC Universe.
With less than a month remaining until the second season of Peacemaker debuts, creator James Gunn revealed a new trailer for his DC series at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
The trailer depicts Chris (John Cena) becoming the target of a heartbroken and vengeful Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo), who is determined to exact revenge for his son's death, compelling Peacemaker to utilize his dimensional portal to create a new life in another universe. In the second season, John Cena’s Christopher Smith is joined in the new DC Universe by his fellow Peacemaker co-stars: Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase/Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith/White Dragon, and Nhut Le as Judomaster.
The cast also features stars from Superman: Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord, along with new additions Tim Meadows (SNL) as Langston Fleury, Sol Rodriguez (Star Trek: Picard) as Sasha Bordeaux, and David Denman (The Office) in a yet-to-be-revealed role.
Peacemaker's season premiere is set for August 21st on HBO Max.
