      Sky has unveiled a trailer and images for Atomic, the forthcoming action-adventure series inspired by journalist William Langewiesche’s book, The Atomic Bazaar.

      The series centers around a drug smuggler and a fugitive (played by Alfie Allen and Shazad Latif) who find themselves compelled to undertake a mission to smuggle uranium across North Africa and the Middle East, all while being pursued by an unyielding CIA officer (Samira Wiley) who believes they are collaborating with violent extremists.

      Joining Allen, Latif, and Wiley in the cast are Brian Gleeson, Franklin Virguez, Avital Lvova, Stuart Martin, Vahid Gold, and Charlie Murphy. Take a look at the trailer below…

      When the free-spirited drug smuggler Max (Alfie Allen) crosses paths with JJ (Shazad Latif), a mysterious outsider on the run, an unexpected friendship emerges. They are drawn into a tumultuous, high-stakes mission they never anticipated—trafficking highly enriched uranium across North Africa and the Middle East, while the CIA, MI6, and a complex network of adversarial forces close in rapidly.

      Leading the CIA’s pursuit is the skilled scientist and Non-Official Cover (NOC) officer Cassie Elliott (Samira Wiley). Convinced that Max and JJ are involved with violent extremists, her relentless chase puts everyone on a path to collision, revealing that nothing is as it appears and that each person has hidden motives. The duo embarks on a wild road trip, facing covert operatives, an internationally funded cartel, and ultimately confronting their own histories. What begins as a fight for survival gradually transforms into something greater: an unexpected partnership, a chance at redemption, and a thrilling adventure.

      Atomic will premiere on Sky and NOW on August 28th.
