Netflix has released a poster and trailer for "Steve," directed by Tim Mielants, which is a reimagining of Max Porter’s Sunday Times bestseller "Shy." The film stars Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy as a headmaster who battles his own mental health issues while striving to uphold the integrity of a reform school facing closure.

The narrative centers on a crucial day in the life of headteacher Steve (Cillian Murphy) and his students at a last-chance reform school in a world that has abandoned them. As Steve strives to maintain the school's integrity in light of its looming closure, we witness his struggle with personal mental health challenges. Concurrently, we also meet Shy (Jay Lycurgo), a troubled teenager caught between his troubled past and an uncertain future, as he endeavors to balance his inner vulnerabilities with impulses toward self-harm and violence.
"Steve" will be released in theaters on September 19th before becoming available on Netflix on October 3rd.
