      After its premiere at Sundance earlier this year, Magnolia Pictures and Magnet Releasing have unveiled a poster and trailer for Bryn Chainey's Welsh folk horror film, Rabbit Trap.

      Dev Patel and Rosy McEwan portray married musicians Darcy and Daphne, who relocate to the countryside with the aim of completing their new album. However, when Darcy accidentally captures a sound never before heard by humans, they disturb a sinister woodland entity, leading them on a harrowing journey that merges reality with myth.

      In search of fresh inspiration and a new beginning, married musicians Daphne (Rosy McEwan) and Darcy (Dev Patel) settle in the Welsh countryside to finish their latest record. While gathering audio samples, Darcy unknowingly records a mysterious sound that has never been heard before. This discovery revitalizes Daphne’s creativity, but as her music intertwines with the landscape, ancient and malevolent forces in the woods are awakened. Soon, a stranger appears at their home. The couple initially welcomes this newcomer, who aids them in understanding their new surroundings, but Darcy becomes increasingly wary of his fixation. As jealousy and paranoia seep into their makeshift family, the distinction between reality and myth begins to fade.

      Rabbit Trap is set to hit theaters on September 12th.
