Lionsgate has unveiled a trailer for Andrew Durham’s coming-of-age drama, Fairyland.
This film, inspired by Alysia Abbott’s acclaimed memoir, Fairyland: A Memoir of My Father, depicts the bond between a young girl and her gay father as they navigate life in San Francisco during the 70s and 80s.
The cast features Emilia Jones, Scoot McNairy, Cody Fern, Maria Bakalova, Bella Murphy, Nessa Dougherty, Adam Lambert, and Geena Davis. You can view the trailer below...
Fairyland tells the story of growth against the lively backdrop of San Francisco’s cultural landscape in the 1970s and ’80s. It beautifully captures the evolving relationship between a father and daughter through a time marked by bohemian excess, leading into the poignant and devastating AIDS crisis.
The film is set to be released in theaters on October 10th.
