      In anticipation of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, Focus Features has unveiled the first trailer for Hamnet, the forthcoming adaptation by director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, Eternals) of Maggie O’Farrell’s 2020 novel. The film reinterprets the tale behind the creation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet and includes a cast featuring Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Emily Watson, and Joe Alwyn.       HAMNET: From Academy Award®-winning writer/director Chloé Zhao, Hamnet presents the poignant love story that inspired Shakespeare’s enduring classic, Hamlet.

      Hamnet is set to be released in theaters on November 27th in the US and on January 9th in the UK.
