The trailer and poster for the WWII spy thriller The Partisan have been released.

      High Fliers has released a poster and trailer for The Partisan, a WWII spy thriller written and directed by James Marquand.

      The film is inspired by the true story of Krystyna Skarbek (played by Morgane Polanski), a Polish spy who became the first female British SOE agent to operate in the field during WWII. It chronicles her experiences as she navigates a treacherous landscape of double agents, shifting loyalties, and high-stakes misinformation while risking her life to deceive the Germans with a lie that could alter the course of history.

      Joining Morgane Polanski in the cast are Malcolm McDowell, Steve Waddington, Ingvar Sigurdsson, Frederick Schmidt, Grégoire Colin, Piotr Adamczyk, and Agata Kulesza. Check out the trailer below.

      Set in Budapest in 1939, the story follows Krystyna Skarbek, a brave and determined woman who convinces a mysterious British agent, referred to only as Trenchcoat, to send her into Nazi-occupied Poland to gather intelligence. However, she has personal motives for going there as her mother’s life is at stake.

      When Krystyna’s mission goes awry, she barely manages to escape but endures a significant personal loss, prompting her to make her life meaningful.

      Four years later, shaped by the brutal realities of war and having demonstrated her capabilities, the steadfast spy is dropped into southern France, tasked with evaluating the fragmented French Resistance and approving a major British weapons drop.

      Disguising herself as a schoolteacher, Krystyna penetrates a network on the verge of collapse. When betrayal emerges and the resistance is nearly annihilated, she defies orders and takes a daring stand. With the help of her only supporters – including the legendary yet troubled spy Roger and the fierce resistance leader Armand – they lure the German spy hunters into a deadly trap, hoping for a chance at victory.

      However, the war has more horror and deceit in store for them. Unwilling to retreat, Krystyna confronts danger directly as she readies herself to achieve the seemingly impossible. Injured and isolated, the courageous heroine embarks on the mission that will ultimately shape her legacy.

      The Partisan is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 30th, followed by a home entertainment release on October 27th.
