This series is a continuation of the Daredevil show on Netflix, with Charlie Cox returning as the Man Without Fear. He stars alongside Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin, a character that became the mayor of New York City in the first season while campaigning to outlaw masked vigilantes. By the season's end, Fisk and his corrupt anti-hero task force gained control over New York through martial law, forcing Daredevil and his allies into hiding.

The initial season also featured Jon Bernthal reprising his popular role as Frank Castle/The Punisher.
