Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence set to star in Martin Scorsese's What Happens at Night.
Renowned director Martin Scorsese is collaborating once again with Leonardo DiCaprio for his upcoming film, which will also feature Jennifer Lawrence. DiCaprio and Lawrence will star in *What Happens at Night*, an adaptation of Peter Cameron’s horror novel.
*What Happens at Night* tells the story of “a married American couple who journey to a small, snowy town in Europe to adopt a baby. They check into a spacious, mostly empty hotel where they meet an intriguing array of characters, including a flamboyant singer, a corrupt businessman, and a charming faith healer. In this unusual, frozen setting, nothing is as it appears. As the couple struggles to secure their baby, they find themselves increasingly uncertain about who they are and the life they have built together.”
The script has been penned by Patrick Marber (The Critic) and will be produced by Studiocanal, with Apple Original Films in discussions to co-produce and finance. Filming is projected to commence in January 2026.
This will be the latest installment in the collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, which began with 2002's *Gangs of New York*. Over the nearly 25 years since, DiCaprio has starred in six of Scorsese's films, the most recent being *Killers of the Flower Moon*, which was also produced by Apple. The pair will produce through Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions and DiCaprio’s Appian Way.
