Aldis Hodge is set to be a part of Road House 2.
As production for Jake Gyllenhaal’s **Road House 2** begins, Amazon MGM Studios has announced that Aldis Hodge (Cross) is the newest addition to the film's cast.
The previous film, released last year as a remake of the 1989 classic, featured Gyllenhaal as Elwood Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who works as a bouncer at a Florida roadhouse and gets caught up in its illicit activities involving rival gangs and crime leaders.
Hodge joins a cast that includes Dave Bautista, known for **Guardians of the Galaxy**, and Leila George from **Animal Kingdom**. While plot details for the sequel remain under wraps, Ilya Naishuller will be taking over as director from Doug Liman, working from a script by Will Beall.
**Road House 2** is set to be produced by Charles Roven and Alex Gartner for Atlas Entertainment, along with Gyllenhaal and Josh McLaughlin for Nine Stories Productions.
Hodge recently starred in Amazon's mystery series **Cross** as Alex Cross, a detective and forensic psychologist who is reluctantly drawn into a politically charged murder investigation. The series, based on James Patterson’s novels, has been renewed for a second season, which is expected to premiere next year.
