Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is set to hit theaters across the nation this December.
Cinephiles, celebrate! Although there isn't a new Quentin Tarantino film on the upcoming schedule, a long-awaited gem from his filmography is finally set for a major release. *Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair*—Tarantino’s rendition of the revenge saga originally released in two parts—will hit theaters nationwide on December 5, 2025, courtesy of Lionsgate.
This much-anticipated release represents one of the few occasions when the complete saga is showcased as a single film. *Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair* eliminates the cliffhanger conclusion from Volume 1 and the recap that preceded Volume 2. A new feature in this theatrical version will be a previously unseen, 7½-minute animated segment. Select showings will be available in 70mm and 35mm formats, with a complete nationwide release scheduled.
Tarantino remarked, “I wrote and directed it as one film—and I’m thrilled to offer fans the opportunity to experience it as one. The ideal way to watch *Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair* is on the big screen in glorious 70mm or 35mm. Blood and guts displayed prominently in all their splendor!”
Lionsgate holds the distribution rights to one of Hollywood's largest collections of Tarantino films, which includes *Reservoir Dogs*, *Jackie Brown*, *Inglourious Basterds*, *Django Unchained*, *The Hateful Eight*, and *Death Proof*.
The press release continues, “Tarantino’s *Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair* merges Volume 1 and Volume 2 into a single, unrated masterpiece—shown precisely as he envisioned, with the addition of a new, never-before-seen anime segment. Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, who is left for dead after her former boss and lover Bill ambushes her wedding rehearsal, shooting her in the head and abducting her unborn child. To exact her revenge, she must hunt down the four remaining members of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad before facing Bill himself. With its grand scope, relentless action, and iconic style, *The Whole Bloody Affair* is recognized as one of cinema’s quintessential revenge narratives, rarely seen in its entirety and now presented with a classic intermission.”
