Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for the anime movie All You Need Is Kill.

Warner Bros. has unveiled a new trailer for All You Need Is Kill, the upcoming anime feature adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s renowned novel, directed by Kenichiro Akimoto.

Originally adapted in 2014 by Doug Liman into the sci-fi action film Edge of Tomorrow, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, the story focuses on Rita, who becomes ensnared in a time loop amid an alien invasion. As she hones her combat abilities, transforming into a powerful warrior, she encounters Keiji, another individual also reliving the same day.

Following an unknown alien plant invasion, Rita is stuck in a time loop, compelled to experience the same day repeatedly. Each cycle brings her new knowledge and skills, but the continued cycle of death and isolation starts to take a toll on her. Then, she meets Keiji, who reveals, “I’ve been repeating this day too.” Two souls lost in an unending conflict—could their encounter alter their destinies?

All You Need is Kill is scheduled to be released in Japan in January 2026.
