Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss announces its release date alongside a new gameplay trailer.

      NACON and developer Big Bad Wolf have announced the launch date for Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss through a newly released gameplay trailer (see below). This narrative-driven investigative game will allow players to delve into the Cthulhu mythos on April 16, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.       Drawing inspiration from Lovecraft’s universe, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss places players in the shoes of Noah, a paranormal expert assigned to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of miners at the ocean floor of the Pacific. Equipped with a variety of helpful tools linked to his personal AI, KEY, Noah can utilize a sonar device to uncover details that are normally invisible to the naked eye.

      Players will traverse diverse environments, ranging from terrestrial settings to the ocean's depths, facing an array of puzzles and riddles that offer multiple solutions. A crucial location that Noah will explore is the city of R’lyeh, where Cthulhu is held captive. In this realm, Noah will confront numerous eldritch beings loyal to this cosmic entity, blurring the line between reality and nightmare.

      There are various endings for players to uncover, determined by Noah’s choices throughout the game and his ability to maintain his sanity.
