Adam Driver set to star in Netflix's psychological thriller series Rabbit, Rabbit.
Adam Driver, known for his roles in Star Wars and Ferrari, is set to star in Rabbit, Rabbit, a psychological drama series on Netflix that centers around a hostage crisis.
Rabbit, Rabbit takes place at a truck stop in southern Illinois, where an escaped convict, cornered by law enforcement, takes hostages to negotiate for his freedom. However, the situation quickly spirals into an overwhelming social experiment involving his captives, along with an emotional standoff against a seasoned FBI Crisis Negotiator skilled in 'tactical empathy.'
The series is likened to Dog Day Afternoon, the 1975 film starring Al Pacino and John Cazale, which depicted bank robbers caught in a tense, day-long hostage situation. It has not yet been revealed whether Driver will portray the hostage taker or the negotiator.
Rabbit, Rabbit is created by Peter Craig (Top Gun: Maverick) and directed by Philip Barantini, who recently gained attention for directing Netflix's drama Adolescence, known for its one-take filming style, which earned several nominations and awards for Barantini and actors Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper.
