Australia's Stan service has unveiled the first trailer for its forthcoming mystery comedy series, He Had It Coming. Set to premiere on November 20th, the series features Lydia West (Big Mood), Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Star Wars: Ahsoka), and Liv Hewson (Yellowjackets).

He Had It Coming centers on college students played by West and Bordizzo, whose drunken feminist prank inadvertently connects them to the murder of the school's top athlete. The cast also includes Duncan Fellows (Deadloch), Roxie Mohebbi (Critical Incident), Tom Dawson (Total Control), Alex Champion de Crespigny (Heartbreak High), Miah Madden (The Sapphires), and Cody Simpson (Smiley Face Killers). Check out the trailer below…

This comedic whodunnit showcases two women who unwittingly find themselves in the midst of a murder mystery after their impromptu feminist art activism is taken over by a killer. Barbara (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) is a fashion influencer advocating for #girlpower on social media but favors parties over protests. Meanwhile, Elise (Lydia West) is an awkward English exchange student aiming to transform herself into a solo activist like Pussy Riot, but she's scared of facing consequences. Following a chance encounter in art class and a mutual annoyance with the men around them, they forge an unexpected partnership and launch a 'Kill All Men' art initiative.

In a drunken escapade late at night, the duo vandalizes a statue of the university's male founder in the quad. By morning, the university's star athlete is found murdered and positioned at the base of their political display. Barbara and Elise must swiftly eliminate any evidence that ties them to the murder, as Detective Shepherd (Liv Hewson) is pursuing them closely. As tensions rise between the genders on campus, accompanied by a mounting male casualty count, the duo is compelled to identify the real killer while trying to contain the gender riot they unintentionally incited before it escalates into a full-scale gender war.

He Had It Coming is created and penned by Gretel Vella and Craig Anderson, with writers Emme Hoy (Renegade Nell), Belinda King (Wellmania), Nick Coyle (Bump), and Hannah Samuel (The Heights). The series is directed by Rachel House (Mountain) and Anne Renton (The Bold Type).

He Had It Coming premieres on November 20th.
