New trailer released for The Thing with Feathers featuring Benedict Cumberbatch.

With just over two weeks until its release, Briarcliff Entertainment has unveiled the final trailer for writer-director Dylan Southern’s psychological drama, The Thing with Feathers.

Based on Max Porter’s 2015 novella Grief Is the Thing with Feathers, the film features Benedict Cumberbatch as a man grappling with the sudden loss of his wife while attempting to care for his two young sons. His grief manifests as a chaotic and unsettling houseguest.

Cumberbatch is joined by a cast that includes David Thewlis, Richard Boxall, Henry Boxall, Jessie Cave, Sam Spruell, Leo Bill, Vinette Robinson, Garry Cooper, and Tim Plester.

After the unexpected passing of his wife, Dad is left to take care of two young sons, and his life begins to fall apart. Grief is inherently chaotic, but when it materializes as an unhinged and unwelcome guest—Crow—who mocks him from the shadows, everything starts to spiral... but perhaps that's just what Dad needs.
