Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for "Merv," an upcoming comedy directed by Jessica Swale.
The film centers around Merv (voiced by Gus), an adorable terrier mix whose spirit diminishes after his owners, Anna (Zooey Deschanel) and Russ (Charlie Cox), separate. To help Merv rekindle his zest for life, Russ decides to take him on a vacation to Florida, but Anna unexpectedly joins them. You can watch the trailer below…
Following the breakup, Anna and Russ find themselves in an awkward co-parenting situation as their beloved dog Merv loses his enthusiasm. In an attempt to lift Merv’s mood, Russ brings him to Florida for some much-needed relaxation, but Anna's surprise appearance complicates things. As Merv gradually regains his former self, it seems that mending their dog's broken heart might spark some connections between them as well.
"Merv" will be available on Prime Video starting December 10th.
