The era of toys could be coming to an end in the first teaser trailer for Toy Story 5.
Is the era of toys coming to an end? This appears to be the challenge confronting Woody, Buzz, and their friends in Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story 5, which has just unveiled its first teaser trailer and poster featuring the latest trendy toy, LilyPad (voiced by Greta Lee). The gang faces a new threat to playtime posed by modern technology.
“It has been a humorous and touching journey to explore how our beloved team of classic toys reacts to today’s technological landscape, and we are excited to share this first look with audiences,” says director Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo) and co-director Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto). “Having the incredibly talented Greta Lee animate LilyPad—bringing a blend of playful antagonism, humor, and heart—has been astonishing.”
Alongside Greta Lee, Toy Story 5 will also welcome back voice talents such as Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Joan Cusack (Jessie), and Tony Hale (Forky), while Conan O’Brien will lend his voice to the toilet training technology toy Smarty Pants. Check out the teaser here…
Toy Story 5 is scheduled to premiere on June 19, 2026.
