The Moment Trailer: Charli XCX Explores Musical Fame in Meta A24 Film
Prepare for a Charli XCX winter. After a significant past few years, the British pop icon is at the forefront of a new meta feature from A24 called The Moment. Directed by Aidan Zamiri, who co-wrote the screenplay with Bertie Brandes, the film features Charli XCX alongside Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Hailey Benton Gates, Isaac Powell, Alexander Skarsgård, Rachel Sennott, and others. With a wide release set for January 30, the initial trailer is now available.
The brief logline reveals that “a rising pop star navigates the challenges of fame and industry pressure while gearing up for her arena tour debut.” As shown in the trailer, it seems to blur the boundaries between fiction and reality, as the pop singer reflects on real-life concerns, issues, and global fame. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be a repeat of Hurry Up Tomorrow.
