IFC Films and Shudder have released a teaser trailer along with first-look images for director Meredith Alloway's upcoming horror film, Forbidden Fruits. This adaptation of Lily Houghton’s play, Of the Women Came the Beginning of Sin, and Through Her We All Die, features Lili Reinhart in the role of Apple, who is at the helm of a clandestine witch cult.
Joining Reinhart in the ensemble cast are Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain, and Gabrielle Union. You can watch the trailer below.
In the story set in a mall, Apple (Lili Reinhart) heads a secret witch group alongside coworkers Cherry (Victoria Pedretti) and Fig (Alexandra Shipp). When new employee Pumpkin (Lola Tung) starts to doubt their bond, the group must confront their inner darkness or face deadly consequences.
Forbidden Fruits is set to be released in 2026.
