BBC Audiobooks has proudly announced a significant accomplishment in the realm of Doctor Who storytelling. After extensive efforts, they have finalized the complete series of audiobook novelizations that cover every televised Doctor Who adventure from The Daleks (1964) to Rose (2005). To commemorate this achievement, BBC Audiobooks has released Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster, an adaptation of Terrance Dicks’s 1976 novelization of the beloved Fourth Doctor tale, Terror of the Zygons.

This milestone signifies the completion of over 160 audiobook titles encompassing every televised Doctor Who story aired from late 1963 until the show's revival in 2005. Over the years and across these audiobooks, the dedication of 61 narrators has been essential, including five actors who portrayed the Doctors on screen: Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, and Paul McGann. Additionally, numerous companions, friends, and foes have helped enhance listeners’ experiences, with the inclusion of special effects and the authentic voices of the Daleks and Cybermen provided by Nicholas Briggs, along with K9 voiced by John Leeson.

In Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster, the Fourth Doctor receives a call for assistance from UNIT at Loch Ness following the destruction of an oil rig, with rumors suggesting the infamous monster's involvement. Upon investigation, the Doctor finds that the Zygons are somehow connected to the situation. But can the Doctor, along with Sarah, Harry, and UNIT, outsmart the clever Zygons and thwart their nefarious schemes?

Doctor Who and the Loch Ness Monster is now available for purchase on the Penguin website.
