Netflix releases a trailer for the anime fantasy Cosmic Princess Kaguya!
Netflix has released a trailer, poster, and images for Cosmic Princess Kaguya!, the forthcoming anime film directed by Shingo Yamashita. The sci-fi fantasy follows high school student Iroha, whose life takes an unexpected turn when she sees a baby emerging from a glowing utility pole, which rapidly grows into a girl of the same age as Iroha. This leads Iroha to believe that her enigmatic new companion is a contemporary Princess Kaguya. Check out the trailer below…
A Japanese legend is reimagined in the near future when a high school girl encounters a mysterious infant. Iroha Sakayori is a hectic high school student whose only refuge is the popular online virtual platform, Tsukuyomi, where individuals use clones to fulfill their dreams and seek creative freedom. However, Iroha’s normal life in Tokyo is disrupted when she discovers a baby coming out of a glowing utility pole. The child swiftly matures into a girl her age, compelling Iroha to confront an astonishing question: Is this girl the modern-day Princess Kaguya? Experience the tale of Kaguya-hime like never before in this near-future sci-fi fantasy. Cosmic Princess Kaguya premieres on Netflix on January 22nd.
