As reported by Variety, Studiocanal and Heyday are working on a feature film inspired by Roger Hargreaves’ vibrant characters, which were first published in August 1971.
With over 250 million copies sold globally, the Mr. Men, who were joined by the Little Miss series in 1981, include beloved characters such as Mr. Bump, Mr. Tickle, Mr. Funny, and Mr. Nosey, and have been cherished by children worldwide for generations.
Studiocanal and Heyday, in collaboration with Mister Men Limited, part of the Sanrio Group, aim to leverage this widespread popularity by creating a movie that appeals to both children and adults.
The Mr. Men Little Miss Movie intends to broaden the universe of the animated series, which is currently available on YouTube, and has a second season in production for television.
