Dark Horse reveals an ongoing series for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Dark Horse Comics has revealed that its limited series, Masters of the Universe, will extend beyond its initial four-issue run. It is set to launch a new storyline and rebrand itself from issue five to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

This upcoming issue will initiate the second story arc titled 'The Battle of Snake Mountain', written by Tim Seeley (Masters of the Universe/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles of Grayskull) and illustrated by Reilly Brown (Masters of the Universe: Phantoms of Despair). Below, you can find the solicitation and covers for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe #5.

THE POWER SWORD, a weapon capable of tapping into the power and wisdom of Grayskull, was forged by the most powerful sorcerer in the universe—HE-RO. It was destined to be given to a great champion to safeguard the Realm in times of need.

However, He-Ro grew worried that such immense power and knowledge might overwhelm a single individual. Thus, he crafted a second blade—one that could only be wielded if a champion turned tyrannical. Unfortunately, an accident corrupted this alternate sword, twisting it into something malevolent and tainting its metal violet. He-Ro had inadvertently created THE SWORD OF FLAWS. Recognizing the terror of his creation, He-Ro departed from Grayskull and spent years traversing Eternia in search of a place to conceal the sword, where it has remained safely hidden. Until now…

Following the significant battle at Heaven Piercer, the Sword of Flaws has fallen into Skeletor’s grasp. With this arcane power, Skeletor poses a more formidable threat than ever. Can He-Man and the Heroic Warriors thwart him before he ascends as MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE?

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe #5 is set to be released on March 25th, 2026.
