Exclusive Poster for Marco Bellocchio’s Six-Hour Portobello, Launching on HBO Max in February.
Recently celebrating his 86th birthday, Marco Bellocchio stands out as one of Italy’s most esteemed directors and is notably one of the few filmmakers who has remained remarkably active in his later years. Following Kidnapped, he is now set to release Portobello, a six-hour, six-part series that premiered its first two episodes at the Venice Film Festival and will be fully available on HBO Max starting February 20. In anticipation of the release, we are excited to unveil the international poster exclusively.
This marks the first HBO Original series from Italy, focusing on the harrowing journey of TV host Enzo Tortora, who found himself at the center of a baseless judicial nightmare.
The ensemble cast features Fabrizio Gifuni, Lino Musella, Barbora Bobulova, Romana Maggiora Vergano, Federica Fracassi, Carlotta Gamba, Giada Fortini, Irene Maiorino, Giovanni Buselli, Davide Mancini, Paolo Pierobon, Gianluca Gobbi, Fausto Russo Alesi, Massimiliano Rossi, Pier Giorgio Bellocchio, Alessio Praticò, Alma Noce, Salvatore D’Onofrio, Francesco Russo, Gennaro Apicella, Luciano Giugliano, Alessandro Fella, Antonia Truppo, Gianmaria Martini, and includes Gianfranco Gallo as Raffaele Cutolo, with contributions from Fabrizio Contri, Tommaso Ragno, Valeria Marini, and Alessandro Preziosi.
The series is produced by OUR FILMS, part of the Mediawan group, and KAVAC FILM, in co-production with ARTE France and in partnership with Rai Fiction and The Apartment Pictures, a Fremantle company. Lorenzo Mieli and Mario Gianani are producing for Our Films, while Simone Gattoni leads production for Kavac Film.
Cinematography is handled by Francesco Di Giacomo, with production design by Andrea Castorina, costumes designed by Daria Calvelli, editing by Francesca Calvelli, and music composed by Teho Teardo.
