Jessica Chastain and Chris Pine will star in the #MeToo drama This Is Pleasure.

      Academy Award winner Jessica Chastain is set to appear alongside Chris Pine in the #MeToo drama This is Pleasure. According to a report from Variety, This is Pleasure will adapt Mary Gaitskill’s novella, focusing on the characters Margot (Chastain) and Quin (Pine), two friends whose bond is threatened by several allegations of misconduct against him. This forces Margot to determine whether loyalty, forgiveness, or truth will shape the conclusion of their intense friendship.

      Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini, the married filmmaking team known for the acclaimed 2003 Oscar-nominated film American Splendor and various popular TV shows including Succession and Only Murders in the Building, will direct the project. They will be working from a screenplay by English theater director and playwright Nina Raine (Rabbit).

      Previously, Gaitskill’s work Secretary was transformed into a cult 2002 black comedy featuring Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader.
