Titan Comics has announced the graphic novel of Highlander: The Original Screenplay.
Titan Comics has revealed the forthcoming release of Highlander: The Original Screenplay, a new graphic novel adaptation of writer Gregory Widen’s original script for the iconic 1986 action fantasy film Highlander.
“I’ve been a fan of Highlander for what feels like forever, so it’s a true delight to revive this story as originally intended by its creator, Gregory Widen,” remarked Jonathan Wilkins, editor of Highlander: The Original Screenplay. “For the first time, readers will have the opportunity to engage with this grand adventure that spans centuries. Collaborating with Gregory to uncover the different directions his story took before the film was made has been incredibly exciting. So, prepare to explore the blood-soaked highlands of the mid-1500s and the gritty streets of 1980s New York in this remarkable interpretation of an immortal story!”
Illustrated by Szymon Kudranski, Highlander: The Original Screenplay promises to showcase “the timeless saga of Connor MacLeod as it was initially conceived – long before it turned into a cult-favorite film. Covering centuries of history, epic showdowns, and complex rivalries, Highlander: The Original Screenplay traces Connor’s journey through time as he confronts other immortals in a deadly competition for a mysterious, ultimate prize. By returning to the origins of the story, this graphic novel offers fans a unique opportunity to experience Widen’s original narrative vision completely, capturing the grand scale, tragic romance, and dramatic violence that made Highlander a cultural landmark.”
