MicroProse is set to revive a classic flight simulator with Gunship: Origins.
MicroProse has unveiled its plans to revive a classic franchise with the release of Gunship: Origins. Developed by Jammin Games, this installment in the Gunship series will immerse players in the cockpit of some of the most famous helicopters for an authentic modern combat experience. In Gunship: Origins, players will assume the role of a U.S. Army helicopter pilot and pilot iconic helicopters like the AH-64 Apache, AH-1 Cobra/Viper, and UH-60 Blackhawk. Fly over battlegrounds filled with armored vehicles, missile launchers, convoys, and fortified enemy bases while completing various missions and objectives.
Undertake a range of dynamically generated missions, including destroying armored columns, escorting transport helicopters, and targeting high-value objectives, all while utilizing the terrain to evade enemy defenses. Each mission will present new tactical hurdles, making strategic planning and quick decision-making crucial for success.
Gunship: Origins allows for missions to be tackled solo or in co-op multiplayer with up to eight players. Friends can team up in the same helicopter as pilot and copilot/gunner or take to the skies in multiple aircraft for more intricate mission tasks. AI wingmen will also be available, permitting players to fully focus on specific objectives.
Begin your journey as a Warrant Officer Candidate and climb the ranks through successful missions to achieve the rank of Colonel while earning genuine military medals and awards that showcase your achievements and experience on the battlefield.
