Two legendary sci-fi franchises come together in Marvel’s Predator vs. The Planet of the Apes.
Marvel is preparing to unite two legendary sci-fi film franchises this July with its latest crossover from 20th Century Studios, as the galaxy's top hunter seeks new targets on a planet dominated by apes in the five-issue limited series Predator vs. The Planet of the Apes, written by Greg Pak (Planet Hulk) and illustrated by Alan Robinson (X-Men Infinity Comic). The official synopsis for the series states:
Worlds collide when a lethal Yautja crashes onto the fabled Planet of the Apes! Following a rescue mission that goes awry, astronaut Arch finds herself embedded in a hostile society where humans are oppressed by apes. As the situation escalates, the hunters become the hunted when the apes discover they are being pursued by Predators! A three-way conflict is about to break out among humans, apes, and Yautja – who will emerge victorious?!
“I clearly remember watching the original Planet of the Apes on a small 13″ black and white TV in the early 1980s, and it completely blew my mind,” Pak shared. “I was ecstatic when Marvel reached out to me to write Planet of the Apes comics — and even more excited when they revealed it would also include Predator!”
“Planet of the Apes and Predator are two of the most iconic sci-fi franchises in history—I would be excited to work on either one. But both together? That’s just incredible,” Pak added. “Both franchises engage in remarkable worldbuilding, explore a profoundly organic and captivating brand of sci-fi, and tackle significant and timeless themes of violence and warfare. They also take daring risks and make bold choices consistently. I can’t wait to reveal what we’re creating with Alan Robinson and the rest of the creative team.”

Predator vs. The Planet of the Apes #1 is set to be released on July 29th, 2026.
