Shudder horror film The Voices of Our Mother releases a trailer and poster.
Shudder has unveiled a trailer for The Voices of Our Mother, the forthcoming horror film by writer-director Mark O’Brien.
The story revolves around four siblings who come together to care for their estranged mother after she falls victim to a mysterious illness. However, as they spend time with her, old resentments and hidden secrets resurface, leading them to suspect that their mother’s ailments are linked to a malevolent force.
O’Brien stars in the film alongside Sheila McCarthy, Georgina Reilly, Carolina Bartczak, Alex Ozerov-Meyer, and Anna Ferguson.
The narrative follows Harriet Scaflen after her mother passes away at 95. Following her death, Harriet experiences an inexplicable health scare, prompting her four estranged children to return to their family home to look after her. As their conflicting emotions and past secrets come to light, they soon begin to believe that their mother's health problems are of a supernatural nature, with the awakened evil within her seeking vengeance on her children for its own survival.
The Voices of Our Mother is set to premiere on Shudder on June 19th.
