The new trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight showcases his remarkable origin story.
Warner Bros. Games has unveiled the launch trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, set to be released on May 22 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This new trailer showcases Bruce Wayne’s remarkable journey from being a young victim of a heinous crime to becoming the hero of Gotham City, paired with Seal’s acclaimed song “Kiss from a Rose.” It features both cinematic and gameplay highlights, which can be viewed below.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight invites players to explore the origins of the Caped Crusader. Players will follow young Bruce Wayne as he trains with The League of Shadows to evolve into the hero that Gotham City requires. They will have the opportunity to form alliances with other heroes in Gotham, including Jim Gordon, Catwoman, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl, while facing the threats posed by Gotham’s Rogues Gallery, such as The Joker, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bane, and many others.
With an innovative combat system that integrates seamless combos, stealth techniques, and detective prowess, players will assist Batman in combating crime throughout the streets and rooftops. They can grapple and glide through the open world or take to the streets in various Batmobiles and Batcycles, including the iconic Tumbler. While navigating Gotham, players will uncover crimes, tackle a range of challenges, earn rewards, discover secrets, and explore many well-known landmarks.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is currently available for pre-order in Standard and Deluxe Editions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Those who pre-order will receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit upon launch. Editions for Nintendo Switch 2 will be released at a later date and can be wishlisted now.
