Laika's Wildwood reveals its initial trailer.
Laika Studios has unveiled the first teaser trailer for Wildwood, the forthcoming adaptation of writer Colin Meloy and illustrator Carson Ellis’ popular children's book, directed by Travis Knight. The stop-motion animated fantasy narrates the tale of Prue and her friend Curtis as they enter a perilous, enchanted forest to save her younger brother, who has been abducted by a murder of crows.
Wildwood features voice performances by Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Jacob Tremblay, Carey Mulligan, Mahershala Ali, Awkwafina, Angela Bassett, Jake Johnson, Charlie Day, Amandla Stenberg, Jemaine Clement, Maya Erskine, Tantoo Cardinal, Tom Waits, and Richard E. Grant.
Created by the team behind Coraline, Wildwood is an expansive, darkly enchanting journey about a young girl who explores a treacherous hidden forest to rescue her brother—an adventure driven by love, power, and the bravery to face the unknown.
Wildwood will be released in theaters on October 23rd.
